Today marked the end of the 8th Students' Council journey as a councillor. I would be lying if i were to say that i'm fine and i've no comments about stepping down. Till now as i look through all the photos and videos we took during our different events and times we spend together, i cant help but tear, despite crying my hearts out after the investiture cos i know i'll be missing every single moment spent with every single councillor and i can't bear to let it go and accept the fact that we'll not be seeing each other as often as we previously would. But i really hope and believe that the bonds that we have built would still be strong and we'll definitely still make time to catch up despite having to focus much on our academics...
To my dear 8ths: Thank you for giving me so much sweet and nice memories during this council journey, be it spending time planning events or even just a simple dinner, teoheng session or study session. These are memories that i'll hold tight and treasure. Given a chance to turn back time, if one ask me a question whether i would join and run for council again.. my answer would be a definite yes. My only regret is not putting in enough effort to bond with u guys at the beginning of our council journey, but i'm glad i've gradually became closer with many after working with you. All the best in your studies, work hard and stay focus, i'm sure everyone of you has the potential to do very well in As. Perseverance is the key!
There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life.
