Yups.. 2012! New beginning, a new chapter in life! Which is the end of my JC chapter in life... and i'm glad that it ended on a gd note:) Still kept in touch with many many of my JC friends:) Hope that our friendship continue to last through our entire lives! As we usher in the new year once again.. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made me smile in the year 2011:) From my dear family, my 8th SC, 10s403, MJC friends and teachers, my dear KC friends to the 9th SC, and MMM ogls during orientation. You guys have made 2011 a really special and memorable year for me:) For that i really thank u!
These few days were also job searching days! Got a sudden excitement to start work and gain experience! Been online looking for admin jobs and submitted quite a few resume to different companies... 2 days ago express recruit suddenly contacted me, asking me to make a trip down to their office at raffles place at UOB plaza 1 to understand my requirements better and learn more about my CCAs, leadership positions etc . When i heard that their office is situated at level 56 ... i'm like :O
But quite an interesting trip i've made ysd... first time going into a commercial building:) You've register with the security and get some pass to tap at the gates before u get to proceed to the lifts. And yays! Recruit express introduced an admin job at NAFA for just 2 weeks.. shortlisted for an interview on tue.. wish me luck in getting the job.. even though its just 2 weeks.. but oh wells.. its better than nothing and its the experience that counts.. after that recruit express will intro more jobs to me:)
The view outside the UOB plaza 1 is really cool.. u can see the s'pore river and other tall tall buildings! Wahh... can imagine if u r some CEO of some big big company at there.. get to enjoy nice view from top!:P
After that went out with my parents to shop shop and eat at chinatown... the chinese new yr decos are up alr! They're nice nice! I like the dragon head! hahas! Cny songs are played at the different shops.. so excited for cny! :D

Today had my interview with Kumon at Toa Payoh and yes! success! Got the job as centre assistant:) Will be teaching the kids english! I'm so looking forward to starting work this coming sat! The kids especially those in K1/K2 and pri sch look super cute! There's one girl that i've noticed while waiting for my interview.. she look so cute when she's struggling to figure out 5+6=? heeee!! so excited to start guiding these cute kids^-^
Met up with Joan and von after my interview...apparently they are in orchard cos von arranged an outing session with her 'plaster shuai ge'! I had no impression of him at REPC:P but i've to admit he's quite gd looking:P Learnt that his name is called daren...and he seems to be quite a nice guy... shopped ard orchard with them one whole day...
Joan was super cute.. she asked us why starbucks logo is like that.. that made all of us suan her why cant starbucks logo be like that:P And finally she fulfilled her promise of wearing heels for me to see! Gosh! when she tried on the heels at forever 21, she's as tall as von! hahahas!
Von also bought joan and i to Marche.. some restaurant.. it has super cool deco, with robotic goats and cows that can move! The furniture there all have the western essence and very homely feel.. so gonna try dining there one day!
Been listening to glee songs recently too! Super addicted to glee's version of uptown girl! The warblers sing super well, just love it when they harmonise! Hope this song gets u all pumped up and excited for 2012!
Back from Hong Kong! I just love the weather and food there! Currently listening to: Bella's lullaby by Carter Burbell 2 more days to my hong kong trip.. ask me if i'm excited.. surprisingly my answer is not exactly.. but i cant find the exact reason why.. maybe i've been to hong kong far to many times that there's nothing new to expect out of it.. and maybe my current roller coaster emotions? I dont know.. gotta keep my emotions in check more often... got too many things on my mind... somehow i keep getting flashbacks of different pieces of my memories before i sleep or when i'm just daydreaming that are either triggered by songs or just objects that are linked to it or the image just out of blue appears on my mind.. oh wells..
Feel like i'm wasting my time everyday while waiting for my trip.. i spend most of my time either online.. just daydreaming while being plugged into my earphones or watching tv serials or movies..feel like starting work soon! I'm actually excited to start teaching though its not guaranteed that i'll get the job! Called Kumon a few days ago to ask abt a job being put up.. meeting them on the 31st to check out the centre and most probably and hopefully i'll get the job since they gave me a choice of either helping out in maths or english. Judging my prelim results.. gp seems to be the better one.. and the lady at kumon seems really pleased to get someone to help in english! Hopefully i'll be of gd help and up to standard...
I also used this holiday to catch up with some of my KC friends like amanda and felicia.
Met amanda last sun.. its a really gd feeling to just catch up with each other's life.. i felt best when we're just siting on a bench at punggol waterfront watching the sky as it darkens and we just talk abt anything and also heart-to-heart talks... just to find joy in each other's companionship.. while enjoying the breeze and sushi we have packed from cold storage.. hahas..
I think thats one of the best feelings.. feel like just taking an evening stroll down the beach to enjoy the sound of the waves and maybe catch a sunset... would be gd to have the companionship of someone i can talk to... perhaps i'll do that when i return from hong kong..
Met up with felicia to help her out in physics cos one of her module in her study for nutrition science require physics.. veron was there to help her out in bio too.. Hearing all the funny terms like transcription and trna and meiosis reminds me of the gd old days in kc while studying bio.. It was also great seeing felicia doing well in poly and working hard:)
Had also gymed with veron at pasir ris recreational centre on wed morning.. had a gd time running on the treadmill with veron and trying out the other machines.. i just tot it would be a gd idea to burn some calories before my hong kong trip since the probability of gaining weight after the trip seems quite high. The venue is a rather gd place to work out.. with all the new gym facilities... May consider it to be a weekly routine after my overseas trip. Tmr gonna follow my parents to jog at ecp.. hopefully will burn even more calories.. hahas
What's planned after my hk trip? Christmas is just ard the corner.. guess its more family time though we dont really celebrate christmas.. i've always wanted to go carolling! Hopefully able to do that the next yr? More meeting-up and hanging out sessions with my friends.. need to find a time to pass them christmas gifts/hk souveniors.. hahas... and from that i can look forward to a new yr~
Time flies really fast.. doesnt it? Cant believe its gonna be 2012 so soon! What i've done last yr still remains vivid in my mind..hahas.. gd old days.. well.. u cant stop the clock from tickling.. but u can always hold on to memories that u treasure..

Came across this on fb!! Awwww...This is like one of the sweetest proposal that actually happened in s'pore! Seems to me that fairytales do happen in real life.. okay.. but rarely.. but it kept me smiling throughout the whole video... seriously envy the girl:) Must watch kays!!
I'm totally loving the life now!! Finally able to play guilt-free! A recap of last week's events... Had prom and glad i'd enjoyed myself.. everyone is dressed so beautifully and guys look gd too:) I must thank von for being my make-up artist:P ohh! Thomas and joan came along to visit us at Mandarin Orchard hotel even though they're not attending for prom.. so happy that they came:) I'm so proud of the 9ths for planning prom well! In my opinion i think it was better than the one the 8ths planned.. its gd that each yr the council is improving:)
Watched breaking dawn with elaine, danielle, daryl and veron! I think it was a gd movie.. probaby for twilight fans like us! Love the way edward cullen looks at and loves bella unconditionally! Such a sweet couple... So looking forward to breaking dawn part 2 next yr!! After the movie we then went to RWS to just have a look ard and of course took loads of photos! I've to upload like 101 photos ysd!! Didnt know we took so many... it was a great catching up session too! I think we walked so much that all our legs were aching:P But hope to see you guys soon soon!!
I'm looking forward to more get-together session with all my sec sch friends! Tmr meeting dear amanda aka laamber! Dear laamber, finally one yr that i dont fly off on ur bday! :P We're gonna watch sunset!! Pls pray that it doesnt rain tmr!! Meeting felicia on the 15th at the library to teach her physics.. hopefully i wont be a too bad teacher:P And i can borrow some books at the same time to keep me entertained:) Soon i'll be flying off to hong kong again... Gonna start looking for a job in Jan.. i'm considering of working at Kumon or be a tutor since the application for a relief teacher under MOE seems rather complicated and difficult to obtain.. perhaps i shld take 1 step at a time.. start with a small class of students? I dont mind giving 1-on-1 tuition, actually i would prefer that cos its more intimate and i can fully focus on the child.. i shall see... Anyone interested in getting tuition from me?? hahas.. can just sms me if u know me personally:)

Been busy from 1st Dec till today with standard chartered marathon volunteering for the REPC at marina bay sands and the actual day at sentosa.
I think its a fresh experience helping out esp. at the REPC though my legs ache like mad after each shift.
Helped out as queue marshall from 1st dec to 3rd dec by ushering runners to the respective counters as the collect their racepack. Helped out at the 10km and 5km run for the first day. The first day was hectic esp. for the 10km run! Wasnt used to the 19 counters i've to observe and usher the runners to and got scolded during times when i wasnt alert enough. oh wells...
2nd day was allocated to the half marathon run, met some new friends from Rivervalley high, and the 2nd day was much much better than the 1st:) And i had the companion of danielle and veron:)
3rd day, took a different role as an usher at the entrance of the collection. Glad i took a different job scope each day so i wouldnt get sick of doing the same thing each day:)
Helping out at the actual day was tiring to the max! had to report at 1am early in the morning at the F1-pit and there were a lot of problems and miscommunications with the leaders, organisation and eventually the volunteers which actually made us even more fed up and stressed up! But on the brighter side it was the experience that counts.
We walked up dunno how much stairs to arrive to our different pitstops. I volunteered to take the 2nd pit stop with adrian cos my legs and body couldnt take any more walking esp. my shoulder when i choose to carry a bag that only has a strap on one side... haiz... but its all over.
Gd thing that all my close friends are able to gather tgt to help out and eventually bond. Esp when we wont know when's the next time we'll have the opp. and chance to see each other and just have fun and enjoy each other presence. Happy to see my KC friends: Danielle and Veron, my bestie: Zhou Tian and her friend yao jia & my dear councillors: Adrian, Joan, Johnston, Thomas, Von and including Chin Boon all tgt:)
Hope that we'll all stay in contact when we eventually move on to our different paths in life.
